This study wanted to promote water using efficiency and improve the root performance on cucumber. We use grafting methods to overcome the problem.On loofah and pumpkin rootstock lines, this research was using droughtresistant test to select the rootstocks on 35 lines and 3 CK. The soil moisture content less than 20% WC, the performance of drought-tolerant and fertility at seedling stage, such as plant height, leaf number and number of nodes, showed that the performance of luffa 105-1, 105-6,Pumpkin to 105-8 and 105-4 performed better. We will use those lines to prepare the grafting compatibility test next year. In addition, this year we also carried out the test of squash grafting on pumpkin rootstock.Although the female flower performance of flowering cucumber was delayed,the effect on the fruit shape of cucumber was not obvious. On fruit weight, some materials are lighter than seedlings, and may be affected by the affinity performance. The grafting compatibility test will be continued to study on yield and other factors.
