Achievement：Amaryllis is suitable for cultivation in Taiwan. Due to market demand, most of varieties of amaryllis are imported. This project will breed and select new varieties of amaryllis. According to breeding goal, we succeed cross combination of amaryllis and selecting potential progenies. After potential progenies comparison, we successfully selected the new amaryllis ‘TSS-No 5-Summer of Love’. The flower’s characteristics are doubled flowers, trumpet-shape, obovate and stripe pattern of outer perianth, orange color, perianth slightly crumpled and medium curled, with soft color feature. Bulbs size are over 20cm circumference with flowering ability. The variety is suitable for cut flower or pot flower.
