This project has completed the collection of a total of 60 orchid varieties, such as Holcoglossum spp., Rhychonopsis spp. and Cattylea spp. and more than 300 intergenic hybridizations this year. Some seeds of mature pods have been planted, and 68 intergenic hybrids of seedlings have grown. Intergenic hybridization obstacles generally range from cross incompatibility, pod dropping, sowing and seed germination etc. The plant growth regulator treatment overcomed the obstacle of Rhychonopsis spp. pod dropping. Two intergenic hybids of Rhychonopsis Taiwan Glamor and Phalenopsis has obtained. Rhychonopsis Taiwan Glamor might be 2n=3X after flow cytometry testing.
