Optimization of production techniques for traditional fiber crops in the aboriginal tribes

  1. Collaborated and conducted interviews with the Shell Ginger Workshop in the Paiwan Community, Majia Township, Pingtung County to collect criteria for shell ginger harvesting and leaf sheath quality standards. Successfully collected and planted 5 shell ginger lines (Alpinia zerumbet), with ongoing leaf sheath quality analysis and phenological observations, while currently establishing experimental populations for subsequent trials.
  2. Collaborated and conducted interviews with Fuxing District Office in Taoyuan City and the Ramie Workshop in Heping District, Taichung City to collect ramie fiber quality standards. Successfully collected and planted 2 ramie lines (Boehmeria nivea), with ongoing fiber quality analysis and phenological observations, while currently establishing experimental populations for subsequent trials
