Experiences |
2011-2016, Director and researcher of Farm Management Division at Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute. Conducted promotion of the farm sustainable management and provided the professional counseling for seedling production. Accomplished the R&D of high-efficiency isolated greenhouse for healthy seedling production of horticultural crops, e.g. strawberries, papayas, passion fruits, and Solanaceae and Cucurbitaceae crops. Upgraded the seed/seedling industry by integrating the intelligent manufacturing with IoT and ICT. 2010, Advisor of technical service group for 2010 Taipei international Flora Exposition. Provided the technical counsels for herbaceous flowers cultivation, successfully made all plantation tasks on schedule. 2008-2010, Technical Group Leader for 2010 Asia-Pacific Seed Association (APSA) Preparatory Committee. Established the demonstration plots for vegetable varieties and provided the platform to facilitate the supply chain for 42 nations' seed companies and 400 vegetable agricultural cooperatives. It was a great contribution to vegetable crops industry. 2006-2010, Chief of Propagation Technology Section at TSIPS. In charge of supervising the mass production of seedling for potato, strawberry, Calla lily and the virus-free seed production for cowpea, accomplished TAF certification on plant virus detection of orchid, cowpea, and potato, complied the detection protocols by international standards and helped the seed/seedling industrial to enhance the competiveness to the global market. 2004-2005, Associate researcher at TSIPS. Established the Herb Garden at TSIP. Devoted to promote the leisure agriculture by conducted series community events; e.g. “Dating Herb”, “ In love with herb“, “Purple hometown”, “Xinshe trip of flower sea”. 1993-2003, Assistant researcher at TSIPS. Responsible for mass production of landscape planting seedlings, with an annual production of 200,000 to 600,000 seedlings, supply for the rural environmental greenification plan for local government. 1983-1993, Research assistant at TSIPS. Engaged in seed production of grain crops and horticultural crops, including corns, sorghums, tomatoes, crucifers, etc. |
