Enhancement of the Testing and Monitoring System for Genetically Modified Crops in the Central Region of Taiwan and the Import Channel
A qualitative and quantitative detection method for the GM maize event DP202216 was successfully established:
- Qualitative Detection: The 105 bp target fragment band was successfully amplified, achieving a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.1%.
- Quantitative Detection: A standard curve was successfully constructed with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.986, demonstrating good linearity (R2 > 0.98%) suitable for precise quantitative analysis. The amplification efficiency was 107.779%, falling within the acceptable standard range (90–110%). Amplification plots showed high consistency among replicate samples across all concentrations, yielding mean Ct values of 28.56 (100%), 30.05 (25%), 32.13 (6.25%), 34.37 (1.5625%), and 35.88 (0.390625%), respectively. Furthermore, ddH2O showed no abnormal signals within 45 amplification cycles.
