This project aims to complete the data collection and carbon footprint assessment of locally produced kabocha squash. By guiding agricultural enterprises or cooperatives (including professional farmers) to utilize digital systems for recording activity data inputs, the project seeks to obtain comprehensive carbon footprint information for kabocha squash. Through identifying carbon emission hotspots in the life cycle of locally produced kabocha squash, recommendations for adjustments in agricultural cultivation systems will be provided as a foundation for future carbon reduction evaluations. Furthermore, the project will propose communication strategies for the industry and consumers to strengthen green agricultural production and consumption, fostering sustainable development and future net-zero transitions.
