2025 Research Project List
This project aims to address the risk of disease transmission in intensive cucurbit nursery production by constructing an environmental verification system tailored to industrial practices. In the fiscal year 114, we revised the "Self-Management Checklist for Cucurbit Nurseries, "establishing a "Five-Ring" risk control framework covering seedlings, water sources, materials, environment, and personnel management. Key achievements include guiding three cucurbit nurseries to implement the verification system. We conducted pest monitoring in shipping areas, grafting rooms, and nursery rooms, along with 24 sampling tests for substrates and water sources. The guided nurseries achieved an average assessment score of Excellent level, verifying the feasibility of the standards. Additionally, in collaboration with the Taiwan Vegetable Seedling Association, we organized the "Nursery Field Empowerment Management Seminar" with 50 participants, effectively raising industry awareness of disease prevention. Significantly, based on practical feedback this year, the strategy was optimized by transitioning from a mandatory "grading certification" to a supportive "self-management health check" model. This shift aims to lower the barrier to adoption for operators and increase industry compliance, laying a pragmatic foundation for future promotion.
