Construction of a certification system for plant seeds and seedlings─Establishment of molecular testing method for hybrid seed purity in pepper

Fig 2. In this study, the PMA-qPCR technique was used to detect viable cells of Acidovorax citrulli (Acit) and to avoid the interference from dead cells. The results showed that, in the tests of artificial contaminated cucurbit seeds with viable and dead cells, PMA inhibited amplification of DNA from dead cells and PMA-qPCR assay effectively detected live cells. We now keep test the stability of PMA-qPCR technique which might be going to make the detection more accurately.
