Breeding for disease resistance in tomato and high quality eggplant.
Achievement：The aim of this project is to breed tomatoes with resistance to TYLCV, bacterial wilt disease, and high quality. In this year, 20 cultivars of tomato have been collected and 140 lines of S4and S5were used for further breeding. The characteristics of these material plants were evaluated in the field and disease-resistant ones were selected and bred further. The Ty-resistant gene will be introduced into elite lines to breed high quality resistant varieties.
