Establishing the Technology of New Papaya Viety Breeding for the International Market.
This project is to increase the diversification of the main varieties of papaya for seeds export, and to breed high-yield, large-sized fruit, resistant to storage and transportation, disease resistance, and deep and functional papaya varieties. This year, the large-scale fruit line and the virus-resistant line were crossed with the line bred in the field to separate the purification of the S3 generation. In addition, the characteristics of 10 nutritional lines were selected to select high-quality nutritional lines and shorten the breeding period. In addition, 22 new hybrid generations were observed and excellent new varieties were selected.A total of 29 inbred lines were planted this year, of which 9 large-fruit lines will be used as parents for the future breeding of large-fruit F1, and the other 6 small-fruit lines have higher sugar content and more fruit numbers, which are scheduled to be used as the parents of large-fruit F1. The A62 and A63 lines weigh 1280 and 1455 grams. They are large fruits with a sugar content of 15 to16 Brix. It has a special flavor and is a distinctive line. Observe 22 new hybrid combinations, 6 lines weighed more than 92.4 kg of Tainong II, and the fruit tops of these 6 lines were mostly oval, unlike Tainong II's long pointed tail, which had a sugar content between 12.4 and 12.8 degrees.
