Breed and assess the drought tolerance rootstocks with cucumber

This study wanted to promote water using efficiency and improve the root performance on cucumber. We used grafting methods to overcome the problem. On luffa and pumpkin rootstock lines, this research was using drought resistant test to select the rootstocks on 2 lines and 2 control varieties. The soil moisture content less than 20% WC, the performance of drought-tolerant and fertility at seedling stage, showed that the performance of grafting Pumpkin No. 5 performed better. On the grafting compatibility tests, the stock luffa grafting 105-5 was better than other rootstocks of luffa this year.
