Development of disinfection technique for important seed-borne pathogens of vegetables
The goal of this program is to explore the effect of high voltage electronic field (HVEF) on cucurbit seeds disinfection and hope to help Taiwan’s seed traders decrease economic loss owing to seeds contaminated with pathogens. The results on cucumber and melon seeds treated with HVEF showed that the Didymella bryoniae on seeds was thoroughly eliminated and germination of the seeds was not lowered.
