Research on Agricultural Social Responsibility for the trainees of Farmers' Academy

This project intends to establish an index that is suitable for measuring agricultural social responsibility(ASR), so as to analyze the views and attitudes of agricultural operators in ASR, and explore their willingness to implement ASR, as a reference and basis for the training courses of the Farmers’Academy and agricultural policy implementation in the future. The research results show that this questionnaire contains a total of 65 items of environmental, social and economic indicators. After item analysis, one item with poor identification was deleted, the overall reliability reaches 0.979,which has a high degree of internal consistency and discriminations, the questionnaire can be used as a measurement tool for evaluation of agricultural operators' research on agricultural social responsibility. The research also found that although the degree of cognition of the behaviors related to agricultural social responsibility varies among the interviewees, most of the interviewees agree. Among them, in environmental indicators facet, the interviewees think that "the production irrigation of crops should be maintained cleanliness to avoid chemical or pesticide pollution” is the most important thing; in social indicators facet, interviewees particularly agreed that“farm workers must obtain comprehensive occupational accident protection.”; in economic indicators facet, interviewees think that“farmers need stable profits to keep running their farm” is the most important thing.In addition, the research also found that most of the interviewees strongly agree to implement agricultural social responsibility-related behaviors, and hope that through this research improves agricultural operators to fulfill their agricultural social responsibilities and promotes sustainable agricultural development.
