Establishing the Technology ofNew Papaya Viety Breeding for the International Market.

T In order to increase the diversification of the main varieties of papaya seeds for export, this plan selects and breeds papaya lines with high yield, large fruit, storage and transportation resistance, disease resistance, and deep functional flesh color. This year, the S4 generation purification of large fruit strains and virus-resistant strains was carried out. 1. Participating plants bloomed one after another 3-4 months after planting, and successively completed bagging selfing of each line and pollination of 20 hybrid combinations. 2. The virus-resistant strains were inoculated in mid-January, and symptoms began to appear after 3 weeks. The disease-resistance evaluation was completed in mid-May when the fruit was in full bloom. 3. Complete the investigation of plant and fruit bearing traits of the inbred line and the new hybrid generation in late June (Figure 1). 4. The single plant with excellent performance in the early generation is cultivated into a mother plant for ear picking, and then the branches are taken and propagated. At present, it has been planted in the field for observation.
