The Promotion of Conservation systems and the assessment of applications for indigenous heirloom foxtail millet(Setaria italia)
Among the 66millet seeds, 33 had a germination rate of less than 80%, the ratio is 50%, and germination rate of less than10%, the ratio is 24.24%.
A mid-level evaluation was conducted for 58 millet germplasm samples collected in 2023. Among these, 50-60 g accounted for the highest proportion at approximately 38.5%, with M112-56 achieving the highest single-plant yield of 72 g. Average total yield data indicated that the majority fell below 500 g (about 46.2%), followed by 600-700 g, accounting for approximately 38.5%. M112-75 recorded the highest total yield at 896 g and will be a key variety for future advanced evaluations.
