Study on Tomato Rootstock Resistance to Bacterial Wilt and Implementation of Field Management Strategies in Seedling Nurseries

Forty literature-based markers for bacterial wilt resistance in eggplant were tested, among which four displayed distinguishable polymorphisms. After sequencing the PCR products, the sequence amplified by marker emb01J19 (Khapte et al., 2018) exhibited the most stable polymorphic pattern. A study by Musa et al. (2024) reported that the PIC value of the emb01J19 marker for detecting resistance genes was 0.768, indicating its high utility and potential as a target for further research.

Testing 40 literature-based markers for resistance to bacterial wilt in eggplants revealed that the marker emb01J19 (Khapte et al., 2018) can distinguish polymorphism between resistant and susceptible materials. After sequencing the PCR products, DNA sequence alignment analysis revealed stable polymorphic patterns in the both resistant and susceptible samples.
